My friends were babysitting my cat while I was on vacation. I picked her up last night. She was over there a little over 2 weeks.
She came into the room, looked at me.. and ignorned me. It is true.. one has never been ignorned till ignorned by a cat. She refused to look at me.
She prefered to go to any man in the room. She has always liked men.. but to be ignorned by her, after being together for over 3 years..it well, dang it , it hurt. Finally she tolerated me petting her.. and then later we left to go home. She hates the crate. Let me rephrase that.. she dispises the crate & will explain to everyone w/in listening radiance she hates it. She griped.. ( meowed in many different ways) her dislike. We arrived home. I took her in first.. then a few trips to get everything in.
She tolerated me a bit last night.. but generally ignorned me. She wouldn't sleep on her side of the bed like she usually does.. and hid from me. She wouldn't call when called, and refused to play w/ her toys.
Then... this morning I woke up early and saw her on the couch. I petted her gently, and went back to bed... ( no work today). She came in and jumped up on the bed. She walked over to my chest, and laid down. I petted her.. talked to her, and finally she acknowledged me. she purred!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She went over to her place on the bed and snuggled down,, looking at me, and finally went to sleep. I felt like a load had been lifted off my shoulders.
She has come over several times today to purr, snuggle, and get attention.. just like normal. She's sleeping on the couch beside me
I felt bad having to leave her for a while, but I know she was spoiled.. lots of new toys, and treats were sent home w/ her. She was spoiled the entire time. She begged just like their 2 dogs, and all 3 were given treats.
She has an open invitation to come back anytime. Which is nice, therefore she won't be left alone, and will be spoiled.
But, I did miss her.. and glad she's forgiven me and allowed me to remain w/in her court.
Cats, I love them.. will do anything to keep mine happy.. within reason... she isn't going to get the new jewled collar she was looking at. I'm just glad she is back to her, and my household is now safe w/ the guard cat back on duty.
