When I saw the Dr. yesterday, I had mentioned i was having trouble sleeping.. like falling asleep at 5 am when I have to get up at 5:15. So, he put me on some sleeping pills for a short while till I get back to sleeping normally again.

Tonight I looked at the label. It states : Caution: May cause Drowsiness. May cause Dizziness.

I reread it again... The Prescrit is for sleeping pills. they're created to cause sleeping.. Why then do they put that warning on those pills. I mean if i order coffee, its good to be reminded that it is hot not iced coffee.

But, to order sleeping pills, and then be reminded they make me sleepy? I hope to heck they work! I know in these days signs are everywhere..

Signs Signs. everywhere they're signs, clutting up the scenery blowing my mind... what are they going to about all those signs... to paraphrase an artist.

THere was a time when one had to use brain power and actully think. Hmmmm if I have a sleeping pill, it will probably cause me to be drowsiness. But, with all these signs, why should we even think anymore.

So, I"ve taken the pill... I'll let you know if it caused me to be drowsiness or dizziness.

Thanks for stopping bye, don't forge to say hi!"

You just know that someone, somewhere tried to sue them for not putting that on the bottle after they took sleeping pills and crashed their car into a swimming pool. Better safe than sorry as far as warning labels go. Some people ARE stupid enough to need them...but really, if one needs that info, it's doubtful they would look for it or even be able to read it.

That's why we have the Darwin Awards.

The same reason "do not operate heavy machinery after taking this medication" is on childrens medicines, "not for eating" is on those little packets of powder in some bags of food, and ""high voltage" signs are on high tension power towers.

I bet our last freedoms will be taken away by some mindless "decision maker" whose only justification will be, "So we don't get sued".

Heh. After my anti-vertigo medicine tells me to take in case of dizziness, it warns me it may cause... dizziness!

I like the commercials for Ambien and the butterfly one "Do not operate heavy machinery....".

Yep!  Nannyism is going to save the stupids!
