another Sunday night...

Why do I have insomnia every Sunday evening? It is getting really old. I'm exhausted come Monday morning, and that isn't the way I like to start the week. I've tried everything, and my Dr. isn't one for sleeping pills.. especially since it's only 1 x a week. Well, sometimes it's 2 or 3 x a week, but mostly Sunday nights..

It isnt that I hate my job.. It's tollerable... I just can't wind my mind down to sleep! gezzzzz this is soooo no fun.

Take care, I'm going to go read, thanks for stopping by.. don't forget to say hi!

I couldn't fall asleep for one night a few weeks ago, and it made me want to kill something. I can only imagine how you feel.

I have it on occassion. Usually it is like you - when my mind wont slow down.  Hope you find relief.

I have a mantra that I repeat to myself until I fall asleep. Sometimes it works and sometimes not but you could give it a shot.

"I let go of the day and I drift away" - repeat until snoozing.

Also if you are worrying about things sometimes journaling can help you get it out so your brain let's go of it when you are in bed.

Having a regular bedtime routine or ritual also helps. Take a bath. I have a noise machine, my favorite is the thunder.

I have had major issues with insomnia and nothing seems to work right if you don't get enough sleep.

LW had a technique that involved imagining yourself jumping on a trampoline. Maybe she'll post the details again.

My wife cannot sleep without white noise. She has found it in a pedestal fan. It hums away all night --and guess what? I don't hear it. Snore!
