some may not like this

I crawled out of bed.. dressed, grabbed lunch & breakfast, and headed out the door. WOW,, the wind was strong, stepped back in, put on warmer jacket, and left again. That is when I saw it. SNOW!!!!!!!!! It was snowing! Not a blizzare, but it was coming down! It was beautiful. The ground was slowly being covered, I was sooo happy. By 9:00 a.m. it was history.

It was like Mother Nature had this small amount left over and was cleaning out the attic before bringing in spring. I know we will still have some cold days... (17 tonight) but spring is on its way.

My allergies can attest to the coming of spring. I don't have seasonal allergies... I have them year round. But only at work! During the winter months, the only time they flare up is at work.. I suspect the duct work is full of allergeans, and the dust at work is horrible. I understand why they can't afford to clean it... they are only the world's largest banking corporation. It makes sense.

Recently they closed 3 different sections at work, they sent the largest one to India. Cheap labor there... very cheap. Another was outsourced, and a third department is also going to India. We are supposed to understand that the company is a world wide bank, so therefore we have offices world wide. The only problem is the workers in India have a language problem. They have problems understanding our patrons, and doing the work that is necessary. But,, hey.. the company is saving money big time.

Ok... I'll get off my soapbox.. it just upsets me when companies outsource entire departments to India and take away jobs from Americans. All for the all might $. The company made record profits last quarter, but hey.. lets screw our workers even more!..

My cat just jumped up and said hi. She loves to be petted while I'm typing. heck.. she loves to be petted anytime.

I'm going to enjoy my Sunday, hope you enjoy yours, take care, thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to say hi!.

Snow. Yuck! It's been snowing on me for three days. Yuck! and double yuck!

Outsourcing is a natural phenomenon in a country with very high wages and standard of living. I don't like it either. When I call a company for service I expect to actually be able to understand the person on the other end of the line. I think eventually enough people will become so fed up with these companies that they'll have little choice but to re-establish domestic call centers.

I agree What bothers me most.. is they are not outsourcing just call centers.. they are outsourcing the department that corrects errors, and bankruptcy... while these departments were small... (all together about 100 people in 2 sites) they did very important jobs. Correct billing errors, and file the correct papers for bankruptcy. I really don't like my private info going overseas to a country that is so financialy devastated. It just seems tooo dangerous... but... I don't have a credit card with the company I work for... this is just one of the many reasons why...

We are headed for the mid 20s again, but still snowless.  Aw well, that 60s of the last couple of days was welcome.
