Icould learn to love CA!

I'm in CA... San Deigo specifically. I'm spoiling, and playing w/ my 2 grandchildren. The girl is 25 months.. the boy is 4 weeks... and yes.. I had a seperate suitcase just for their stuff.. a huge duffel type bag. We have played, giggled, rocked, and spoiled. My daughter looks awesome for having had a child just 4 weeks ago. The house was clean... everything organized.. wow... it is amazing.
This vacation isn't about sight-seeing- it's only about relaxing, playing w/ the kids, and just girl talking... My son - in - law is really a great guy. I am very proud of him.. he has matured and is an awesome Dad. He greets the older one first... she's a Daddy's girl.. gives her the attention she needs.. hugs, talks,,etc. then.. after she's happy,, (my daughter being said hi to also..) then he came after his son.. He is a Marine MP,, and left for work around 4am... this was 6:30 p.m. when he arrived home.

He helps w/ laundry... does the fixing of things that daughter can't, and will cook & clean. He is a great chef!.

So much is said these days of men not always pulling their weight. He isn't perfect.. no man is.. but I see the love he has in his eyes. He is supportative, and knows how to make my daughter laugh. He does walk right past the laundry basket that needs to be taken up...lol,, but will take it up it asked..

My daughter is remarkable. Handling 2 children.. one in the wonderful 2's! and an infant. She makes sure each is loved, and gives her attention to the one needing it at the time if both are crying. Granddaughter was on a chair playing.. she was nursing son, when granddaughter fell off.. Daughter, placed son down... who was a bit miffed at this.. and comforted daughter , loved her, and made sure she was ok.. then picked up son... who calmed back down.

I know this may seem old hat to those that have more than one child.. however.. looking out into the world.. I don't always see the love of parents to their children. Time goes by so fast that sometimes love is the thing that isn't given enough.

I can not take credit for my daughter's ability to handle 2... I handled 1.... but she has the patience I admire. I see the happiness she has for her children, and enjoy's the smiles, giggles, and antics they provide. Even during the evening time, when all gets crazy waiting for Daddy.. she deals with it better than I ever could.

I am not worried to much about what the world be be when it passses to them.. They stay involved w/ the news, discuss things, and look at things in ways I never thought possible. I always leave w/ a new enlightment on things when I've been with them.

But, time to be MeMaw again... thanks for stopping by... don't forget to say hi!
