I NEVER WOULD HAVE BELIEVED IT

As I reflect on the past few weeks, I have been able to realize a few things. The irs in person... ie.. their rep's were actually very nice. They went out of their way to help, removing the garnishment that day.. answering my questions, helping me... understanding, and actually explaing things.

Now , mind you.. I wouldn't not want to go through what I went through again in a million years. They do know of the situation. They have others that the guy had not filed.. it was in their files,, they believed me.

The manager of the office was kind, and sent a derogatory to the guy who misinformed me over the phone. He bought me a pop, asked what else he could do.. he wouldn't let me talk to the guy.. but I understand.

They did not force me to pay anything till all resolved. I offered.. cause I know i do owe some. They waved the interests and penalties due to the situation.

Now, I'm not silly enought to think all IRS situations go that way. But, the one time I expected the worse, the opposite happened. For that I thank them. Now when it is all over, and they are paid in full... I will be very very careful who does my taxes.

Now I'm packing for the trip to see grandson. He is 3 weeks old and I haven't held him yet. He is all ready loved, and spoiled... *the post office dellivers..lol.

I will also be spoiling my granddaughter. she turned 2 , 5 days before he was born. So.. both suitcases are packed, with toys, blankets, and surprises for all.

Now that the irs is basically behind me, I can relax, enjoy the beauty of life.

I leave out wed.. for about a week. The temp here last night was 7... it was40 there.. yeah.. I am really going to hate going to San Diego for the week..

thanks for stopping by.. don't forget to say hi..

The IRS was nice.

Be afraid, very afraid.

The IRS itself is cold and unfeeling, but the agents - well, I was going to apply to the IRS, but I ended up elsewhere... but they are just people like you and me who wanted decent benefits and flexible schedules.

I worked for a company for 12 years, before they laid me off.  During that time, I had to work with this one snake oil salesman that really did a number on me politically (I am not, nor ever have been a politician when it comes to office politics).  I refused to have anything to do with him after that (My boss said I should have at least been cordial - to a back stabber?).

To make a long story short, about 3 years after being let go from the company, I run into this creep.  Guess what he is doing?

Working for the IRS.

Nope, no amount of smiles is going to make me believe that the IRS is not full of snakes.

Full of snakes, sure, but some people just got there.

Why malign such a fine animal as the snake?

Why malign such a fine animal as the snake?

Sorry!  I misspoke.
