Snow when it melts, becomes .. water!
It snowed yesterday and last evening. It is sooo beautiful. I have the luxury of sitting in my home, watching tv,and relaxing. I can look out and see the beauty of it. I hear on the news the problems it caused, none of which I would wish on anyone. Ilove to see the peacefulness the snow brings. It seems to bring out a quietness.
I do hate the fact that it can and does cause problems w/ driving. Some people don't realize that when it snows, the roads aren't dry. The roads become wet. I realize this is an unusal concept, but, it is the truth. Also, if the temperature is below 32, it might.. ( most likely will) become.. ICE!
Why, does this become such a surprise to anyone over the age of 8? Normal human beings, having passed a state driver's test, seems to think that snow doesn't effect the road surface!
On my way home yesterday, while enjoying the snow, i watched at least 3 different cars spin out on snow on the road.. some of which has become ice. They were driving way to fast even for normal road conditions. Two of the three weren't hurt. They didn't even run into any other drivers. The third.. well,, he single handedly hit 2 other cars that were sitting still. Thank goodness no serious physical personal problems, but the physical shape of the cars wasn't so great.
I had stopped for a pizza and watched the wreck. Everyone came out of their cars yelling, and the problem driver was loudest blaming everyone but himself. I didn't see all the outcome, I stepped in to pick up my pizza, and when I returned, the police had showed up. I took a side street and went home.
When I was home, safe, and looking out at the glistening snow, munching on my pizza, I had to sigh. I can't believe people can't slow down and enjoy life. Things happen in this life.. be it snow, rain, or sun,, there are some that no matter what life brings, they aren't happy. I am learning to enjoy what life gives me, and to see the beauty in things.
So, no matter what your weather or life is.. try to enjoy a small part of it.
