but some changing..
Published on January 1, 2008 By TheSnowbear In Just Hanging Out
I refuse to make NY's resolutions. Due to the fact that they are usually broken before the end of the first week. So..I'm slowly making changes in my life. Less fast foods, more salads. Less pop, more water, things like that. Then as those things become natural, more will be added. I know me. If I'm thrown a bunch of changes too fast, I drop one or two. This way, slowly I'm changing the way I'm eating and living.

Small things, like take the stairs instead of the elevator. Parking at the back of the lot and walk a bit more. Set aside some relax time, Time I can read, knit, etc. Watch the checkbook closer. Try to pay off a few things early and feel less pressure.

The hype of doing all the changes at once isn't for me. But by establishing changes I can live with, and want to live with is something that I can do.

I hope everyone had a great NY's but realize, you can start over any day or hour, one never has to wait for a "certain day or time".

Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to say hi!

Hi!

I hope everyone had a great NY's but realize, you can start over any day or hour, one never has to wait for a "certain day or time".

Excellent advice. Along with my very own self, I know lots of people that could stand a lifestyle change or two. And they're never easy no matter how much we know they need to be made. Remembering that you don't need a "New Years Resolution" to make a change is an often overlooked but important truth. Thanks for stating it, and here's hoping your New Year is a good one.

I stopped making NY resolutions when I realized they were just for show.  Now, when I find something I do not like, I resolve to change it then, not wait for an arbitrary date.

Good advice.
