I BEAT THE IRS.. KINDA

DON'T EVER TRUST UNLLESS YOU SEE THE PROOF

Hi..

I'm home... Back from the irs. I survived. I probably don't owe... (according to H & R block who redid return, i should have gotten refund) but.. because in 2002.. not acceptable.

But.. It probably will prove i dont owe anything.

2003.. I get refund, 2004 & 2005 I will pay...

It will take about 6 -8 weeks to get final bill... I've started paying some.. The garnishment is lifted.
SO... I will survive, I will learn not to trust friends as tax preparers.. ( he is still mia.. and several are looking for him)

I have a few more grey hairs... lost some sleep.... a bit jumpy.. but all in all ok.

The represenative I worked w/ today was very very kind, calm, and human. She lol, she teased, and took teasing. Understood why I was upset, went overboard to help, and got garnishment lifted today.

I don't mind paying what is due. But, a bit mifted if they were going to tax me, why can't I get the refund? They reps' don't make the tax laws. She made it bearable to sort out all the paperwork.

So, we'll call it a draw.

Now, to do all the things I've put off while dealing w/ this.. OH YEAH...

I came out of the IRS... had a flat tire. windchill is about zero or colder.... But, bought new tire close by... got home, and not leaving till work tomorrow.

I'm now working on knitting a dragon scarf for my grandson... just for decoration... & yes.. of course he is cute...lol

Get Turbo Tax. I use to do returns for friends and relatives, but since TT came out (I started using it in 91), I have recommended it. And if I do a return for a friend, I offer no guarantees (and use TT anyway).

I will for this year... At least the previous years were done by H&R due to past thinking the other guy was using similar tax program. At last count... he has 67 people who are in trouble w/ the IRS due to him. heheh they would like to have a "good ole boy talk w/ him"

I had...it turned out that the professional.. wasn't filing.. hadn't filed for 5 yrs... he bilked a small town and surrounding areas.. and the money trail has ended up in the Caymens.... no more small businesses... H& R or myself.

That's terrible. Never trust someone else to FILE your taxes, just to prepare them. And then, if they don't sign it, read it over, because you're liable.
